Here are some of the details pertaining to the Wedding Party - the crew who will be standing by your side when you say “I do."


  • Finalize Attire – Do a check-in with each of your bridesmaids and groomsmen ahead of time to prevent potential wardrobe malfunctions on the big day. Confirm all bridesmaids’ dresses have been ordered and delivered, that your groomsmen have purchased or rented their formal attire, and that any necessary alterations have been made. Let your bridesmaids know of any specifications you might have for their accessories – e.g. “please wear metallic sandals and simple stud earrings.”
  • Coordinate “Getting Ready” Logistics - Let the bridesmaids know WHERE you will be getting ready, WHEN to be there, and WHAT they need to bring. Let them know whether food will be provided or if they should eat beforehand or bring snacks. Tell them whether you will be hiring professionals to do your bridesmaids’ hair and makeup, or if they will be responsible for their own. If you are providing a hair stylist and makeup artist, let the girls know ahead of time and get a firm headcount of who opts in and who will be doing it themselves or going elsewhere to have it done. And don’t forget about the fun stuff like a playlist, champagne, or matching robes!

  • Arrange Transportation - Make sure there is a solid plan in place for getting your bridesmaids and groomsmen to the Ceremony location, and from the ceremony to the Reception venue, and back Home at the end of the evening.
  • Distribute a Wedding Day Itinerary - Although you know every detail of your wedding day agenda, that doesn’t mean your wedding party does! Give them a detailed schedule including times, locations and any instructions they may need to know. Prep them with basic logistical info – bathroom locations, where to put cards or gifts – in case guests ask. Include cell phone numbers for the Maid of Honor and Best Man in case of any last-minute questions or issues. Email the schedule and print copies so everyone can refer back to it when necessary.
